Young people in the Global South have been tackling the climate crisis for years. They should be celebrated too! While the global media is focusing largely on Greta Thunberg as the face for youth environmental activism, many young activists from the Global South have been active way before Greta started. The work of those activists has not been covered widely by the global media, resulting in less acknowledgement of their role in fighting climate change.
